I was reading today about how long a human head lives after it has been removed by a guillotine. Unsurprisingly, modern-dispassionate study on this fascinating topic is sparse. Old accounts, of course, are unreliable and amount to little more than self delusion and hokum. Still, if such accounts are to be believed a severed human head lives long enough to recognize its owner's name twice but not a third time.
Today's photos are Mardi Gras participants on wheels. I have sorted them by the number of wheels each one uses.
